Habitat: dry scrub- and tree-covered areas, diurnal
Size: up to 13 cm
Life Expectancy: over 5 years
Reproduction: 2 clutches per year are possible, up to 9 soft-shelled eggs in total. Incubation period at 29°C about 50 days. Long pregnancy period.
Temperature: air temperature between 28-35°C, local heat spots up to 45°C. Night setback to room temperature.
Humidity: 50-70%
Lighting: Daylight fluorescent tubes, if necessary UV tubes (see "Sorry Link missing"). For sufficient UV radiation we recommend "Sorry Link missing" or "Sorry Link missing". "Sorry Link missing" for the creation of local heat spots. Species needs a strong illumination. If necessary the use of HQI lamps or T5 fluorescent tubes is recommended.
Substrate: loamy earth with rock structures or "Sorry Link missing".
Cage Furniture: hideouts, stones, roots, climbing facilities, a flat water bowl. Cage substrate should always be slightly wet in one spot.

food: Insects (e.g. small cricktets, grasshoppers, cockroaches, super mealworms, wax moths, etc.) also products from the "Sorry Link missing". Vegetarian food like leaves (dandelion, ribwort, clover, lucerne, cress, various germ buds, sprouts etc.), but also carrots, paprika, zucchini or tomatoes (hackled and rasped). Regular additions of "Sorry Link missing" and "Sorry Link missing" are necessary.
Comment: males are absolutely irreconcilable amongst each other. Therefore one tend one pair or one male and several females together. Once per day they should be oversprayed with lukewarm water.
