Geographical Extension: West- and Central-Africa (Gabun, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, equatorial-Guinea, Republic of the Congo)
Habitat: coastal lowland rainforests up to 600m above sealevel.
Diurnal
Size: up to 29cm, males somewhat smaller
Life Expectancy: over 7 years
Reproduction: lays up to 37 eggs. Incubation period at about 24°C over 250 days!
Temperature: air temperature between 25-28°C, local heat spots up to 30°C. Night setback to 20°C.
Humidity: 80-100%
Lighting: Daylight fluorescent tubes, if necessary UV tubes (see "Sorry Link missing"). For sufficient UV radiation we recommend "Sorry Link missing" or "Sorry Link missing". "Sorry Link missing" for the creation of local heat spots. Species needs a strong illumination.
Substrate: loose, absorptive substrate (see "Sorry Link missing").
Cage Furniture: climbing facilities, blinds for back and rear panels, planting is possible (Ficus benjamina, Scindapsus sp., Epipremnium sp., Hoya sp., etc.). Many hiding places. Good air circulation is required! A dripper is recommended (see "Sorry Link missing").
Terrarium Size (for long term care): 120x60x150 cm (LxWxH), single keeping!
