Geographical Extension:	Central Africa from West Coast to Eritrea. North Sudan, Mali, Tschad.
Habitat:	dry savannah, grass steppe, diurnal
Size:	between 80-130 cm
Life Expectancy:	over 15 years
Reproduction:	capable of laying clutches with up to 150 eggs. At 27-31°C the young animals hatch after 116-180 days.
Temperature:	Ground temperature between 25-30°C, the preferred temperature is at 30°C and more. In order to achieve this it is recommended to install "Sorry Link missing" in such a way that local heat spots have up to 45°C. Night setback to 20-24°C.
Humidity:	50-60%
Lighting:	Daylight fluorescent tubes, if necessary UV tubes (see "Sorry Link missing"). For sufficient UV radiation we recommend "Sorry Link missing" or "Sorry Link missing". "Sorry Link missing" for the creation of local heat spots.
Substrate:	loamy earth with rock structures or "Sorry Link missing" or grit.
Cage Furniture:	amongst others various hiding places, stones and roots. Also climbing facilities and a small and flat water bowl. Cage substrate should always be slightly wet in one spot. Only to be tended in large terrariums!
food:	Insects (e.g. large cricktets, grasshoppers, cockroaches, super mealworms, wax moths, etc.) also products from the "Sorry Link missing". Regular additions of "Sorry Link missing" and "Sorry Link missing" are necessary.
