Geographical Extension: Central Africa from West Coast to Eritrea. North Sudan, Mali, Tschad.
Habitat: dry savannah, grass steppe, diurnal
Size: between 80-130 cm
Life Expectancy: over 15 years
Reproduction: capable of laying clutches with up to 150 eggs. At 27-31°C the young animals hatch after 116-180 days.
Temperature: Ground temperature between 25-30°C, the preferred temperature is at 30°C and more. In order to achieve this it is recommended to install "Sorry Link missing" in such a way that local heat spots have up to 45°C. Night setback to 20-24°C.
Humidity: 50-60%
