Geographical Extension: South-East North-America (among other things Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, from Florida to North-East Mexico)
Habitat: bush areas, forests, often near bodies of water. Diurnal
Size: approx. 60-80 cm, maximum 120 cm
Life Expectancy: 9 years
Reproduction: lays up to 12 eggs, but generally only 5-7. Incubation period at 27°C about 50-60 days.
Temperature: air temperature between 24-27°C, local heat spots to 32°C. Night setback to about 20°C.
Humidity: 50-80%
Lighting: Daylight fluorescent tubes e.g. "Sorry Link missing" or "Sorry Link missing"
Substrate: loose, absorptive substrate (see "Sorry Link missing").
Cage Furniture: climbing facilities, various hiding places and a water container make up the basic configuration of the terrarium arrangements.
food: various insects and other arthropods (crickets, small grasshoppers, inchworms, spiders etc.). Regular additions of "Sorry Link missing" and "Sorry Link missing" are necessary.
