Habitat: Prairies, dry grass sceneries, small forests. Crepuscular.
Size: approx. 80-120 cm
Life Expectancy: over 20 years
Reproduction: lays about 30 eggs (on average 10), 2 clutches per year are possible. Incubation period at 27°C about 60 days.
Temperature: ground temperature between 26-28°C, local heat spots up to 33°C. Night setback to 20-23°C.
Humidity: 50-60%

Substrate: loose, absorptive substrate (see "Sorry Link missing").
