Geographical Extension: From Algeria and Tunisia to the complete east Sahara region
Habitat: Deserts and semi deserts, prefer sandy ground, digs burrows at the at the foot of gras and other plants.
Size: Total length up to 8 cm, the males usually remain smaller
Life Expectancy: 3-4 years
Reproduction: After a gestation period of 100 days the female gives birth to 30-100 young. Usually there are no more than 60. After the first moult the young should be separated from the mother.
Temperature: The daytime temperature should be between 28-35 °C and locally up to 40 °C. Night setback to room temperature.
Humidity: 40% should not exceeded

Comment: Attention! This species is one of the most poisonous scorpions! However, it is less aggressive, than many other species.
