Geographical Extension: Small distribution area on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
Habitat: The spider prefers rocky slopes overgrown with trees and bushes. She lives at the ground under pieces of bark, stones and roots. She construct her own burrow.
Size: to 7 cm body length
Life Expectancy: Females up to 30 years, male 8 years
Reproduction: Cocoon with up to 800 eggs after 8-10 days the young hatch
Temperature: Should vary between 28-30 °C. Night setback to room temperature.
Humidity: 50-70%
Lighting: Halogen Sun Mini in combination with the Thermo Socket PLUS is a sufficient heat and light source. If it is to warm, alternatively a Lucky Reptile Amhib Sun or Mini Light Strip LED LED can be used. This is a power-saving possibility.
Substrate: It should be Jungle Bedding or Coconut soil used.
Cage Furniture: A HerpTarrium in correct size is ideal for this bottom dweller. Equipped with cork tubes as a hiding place and a flat Water Dishes. Planting with live plants is possible (e.g. sukkulents).
Terrarium Size (for long term care): 30x30x30 cm
food: Insects, for example crickets, cockroaches, grasshoppers, rose beetle larvas. For young are springtails, newly hatched crickets and drosophila recommended.
Comment: Relatively peaceful Art. Good for beginners.
